Sio Bento was founded in 2019 with one goal: to bring the warmth of a Japanese family table to Canada.

Our owner and chef, who previously ran a ramen shop in Osaka, Japan, carries forward a deep-rooted passion for homestyle cooking — meals that are thoughtfully prepared and truly nourishing.

Specializing in Donburi, Ramen, and Izakaya-inspired dishes, we focus on flavor, comfort, and authenticity. Every bento/meal we serve is made with fresh ingredients, a love for tradition, and a commitment to warm, welcoming service.​

A Daily Ritual
A student came in one day, looking for something warm after a long day of classes — he picked up a rice ball, milk tea, and dango that reminded him of Japanese dramas.
“It was better than I expected,” he told us. From then on, he’d stop by after class — in and out within minutes, almost every day.
Before moving away, he left a note: “This is my favorite place.”
